Making sense of the data
A simple picture is worth a thousand data points. EdSource's rich library of tables, pictures, charts, and graphs can help clarify current education-related statistics and data. Use the menu bar to the left to zero in on the issues that interest you, or go to our index for the complete list. Each section has figures by title and includes short descriptions. Click on the title to see the graph.
To interactively compare data on finances, demographics and performance statewide or among specific schools, districts, and counties, go to the Ed-Data Partnership website.

More Students are Taking Algebra I
Although more 8th grade students are taking Algebra I than
before, students still more often take Algebra I and subsequent
math courses one year behind the state guidelines. These
students, if successful, may complete Algebra II in 11th grade.
